Whitewater Intelligence is the company behind Whitewater OS and Whitewater Dev. We help founder-led teams stay upright and moving when their business goes from calm water to whitewater, with a product they can run on and a studio that builds to a product-company bar. We are one company with two currents, built by an operator who has been in the water, so the next founder does not have to learn it the hard way.
Why whitewater
Every growing business meets the rapids
In the beginning the water is flat. A small team can hold the whole business in its head, decisions are quick, and everyone can see everyone. It feels like this is how it will always be.
Then it speeds up. Headcount doubles, the founder can no longer touch every decision, and the habits that worked at ten people start to cost the company at thirty. The water gets loud and fast, all at once.
The teams that go over are rarely short on talent or effort. They capsize because they hit the rapids without a system: no shared priorities, no honest cadence, no clear view of the numbers. Everyone paddles hard in different directions.
Whitewater Intelligence exists to keep founder-led teams upright through that stretch, and to make sure the tools they run on are equal to the water.
Built in the water
Built by an operator who scaled a real company, not a slide about one
Whitewater Intelligence was founded by an operator who lived the rapids firsthand. Over more than a decade, they grew a company past a hundred people and four operating divisions, with a footprint that reached across the country. None of that happened on calm water. It happened in the stretch where a business moves fast enough to break, where the only thing that keeps a team upright is a system everyone can see.
There was no product to buy for that job, so they built the operating system by hand: out of spreadsheets, scorecards, and a weekly meeting that never got skipped, rebuilt every time the company outgrew the last version. Whitewater OS and Whitewater Dev both come out of that decade in the water, not a whiteboard. One is that system, turned into software. The other is the studio that builds everything else to the same bar.

What we believe
How we think about the work
Two arms, one set of convictions. They come from running a company through the rapids, and they shape the product and every project the studio ships.
- Systems, not slides
- There is a difference between talking about operating well and actually running the play. We build from what kept a real company on course, not a framework someone read about. If it did not survive contact with a growing business, it does not ship.
- Calm and direct
- The water is loud enough. We communicate the way a founder needs: plain language, specific commitments, and no hype. Clear beats clever, and the honest answer beats the comfortable one, every time.
- Built to a bar
- Whether it is our own product or a client site, we hold the work to the standard a serious software company holds its own product to: designed, fast, accessible, multilingual, and secure. Good enough is not the bar.
- We stay in the water
- We do not hand you a deliverable and wave from the bank. The product keeps a coach in the loop; the studio hosts and operates what it builds. Our default is to own the outcome with you, not just the handoff.
